This piece is the final addition to the 'End in Mind' collection. The inspiration for this piece came to me in December — I literally found it on the floor in the hallway…apparently tracked in on the sole of someone’s shoe. I love the shape so much. Despite the jagged tear, age spots, and holes it has a jaunty attitude and appears to be dancing - a perfect addition to the collection.
This piece almost didn’t make it into the show. I went through so many color combinations and none of them were working. The morning before my deadline I woke up with these colors in my head. I bet my artsy friends know exactly what I mean.
