It was a warm autumn day when my friends and I visited the farm of artist Ann Sader. After meeting with other artists in Ann's studio, we were invited to explore the woods behind the barn where I photographed this leaf in transition.
A few weeks later I was birding with a friend in the Virginia Beach area. The marsh grass sparkling in the morning sun became the background for this composite.
Tending to our relationships with others is a critical component of intentional living. Studies have shown that the quality of our social networks can profoundly effect our health. This piece has special meaning to me because it reminds me of days spent communing with nature and dear friends.
