It was a warm autumn day when my friends and I visited the farm of artist Ann Sader. After meeting with other artists in Ann's studio, we were invited to explore the woods behind the barn where I photographed this leaf in transition.
A few weeks later I was birding with a friend in the Virginia Beach area. The marsh grass sparkling in the morning sun became the background for this composite.
